Ed Horowitz - Wedding Ceremonies / Cocktail Hours

Ed is amazing--he is so talented and added such a wonderful touch to our beach wedding. We had a wedding with some Turkish guests, so he incorporated some Turkish music into the ceremony. Would recommend him to anyone looking for a great musician for their wedding.

Ed was magnificent, amazing and a very sweet yet professional musician. He worked with us very patiently on finding the perfect music to match each person in our bridal party. His music was amazing and the ambiance created by such harmonic peaceful tunes made for a breathtaking and unforgettable moment. Ed is truly hardworking, talented and very professional. He is truthfully a pleasure to deal with.

Ed is very talented and easy vendor to work with. We told him about our theme of the wedding and he ran with it. Ed made such a great suggestion for our wedding that made our guests in ah! His creativity and attention to detail is amazing. Brides don't worry about this vendor, he was on time and his music was beautiful.

We were lucky enough to have Ed recommended for our musician. He was very friendly and excited when we first spoke with him to arrange a meeting. Once we met him in person, we were hooked. His enthusiasm is infectious and his talent is amazing! He plays a wide range of instruments - he brought a guitar, violin, and mandolin to the meeting with him. My husband showed him the banjo he had played as a kid and Ed started to play that as well! (Yes, he plays better than my husband!) Not only that, it seems his repertoire is endless. We were throwing out suggestions - from classical to Sinatra to the Beatles - and he would just start playing them on whatever instrument he had in hand. He had spectacular ideas and suggestions. He actually put together a timeline to assist our planners that showed the cues, which wedding party member would walk to what song, and the order for our ceremony. The planners were quite impressed and that's what we used as the guideline for our entire ceremony. Our officiant was late, but that did not phase Ed, he made sure everything went off without a hitch. He played beautifully and played whatever instrument best suited the songs we chose - both with and without backing tracks. It MADE the ceremony. He then moved his instruments to the reception area and strolled among our guests while playing our favorite songs. He truly is a "Strolling Musician" and so much more. He felt like part of the family. We loved working with him and would recommend him to anyone wanting beautiful music at their event or anyone just wanting to meet a talented, great guy. If you're reading this - thanks for everything Ed, the ceremony couldn't have been as wonderful without you.

Ed was wonderful to work with! He provided us with additional ideas and was very flexibile with our moving wedding location and time. Despite the very loud ocean, rain and high winds, we could still hear Ed's music. Thank you Ed for making our day so special!

Ed was an elegant addition to our garden wedding. Our family and friends commented on how they enjoyed the music both before, during and after the wedding. His music flowed seamlessly through the setup, procession, wedding ceremony, and reception cocktail party. Ed is such an amazing and talented person! From day one he answered his phone and emailed me information right away. He kept in touch with us throughout the months before the wedding and was always patient and sincerely cared about making our wedding the best day of our lives! He also met with us to personally select songs and helped us figure out how we wanted our ceremony to be structured (ie. who to walk down the aisle first). That is just a little bit about Ed's professional manner...let me get into the music aspect. My husband and I got married on the beach so it was pretty windy. Ed's PA system was loud and crisp and the beautiful music that he played that day will forever be in my memory. Everyone at the wedding was talking about the music hours later at the reception and still now, one month later. Not only that but you can tell that he REALLY enjoys what he does and that is important...I am so glad that I decided to go with Ed as our wedding ceremony musician! Thank you Ed!!...

It was a pleasure working with Ed from the very beginning. He was great about communicating with us and making sure that we had everything we needed for our ceremony and cocktail hour. Aside from being an excellent musician, he had very helpful suggestions. He worked very well with the venue's coordinator to make sure that the music was in-sync with every step of the ceremony. Most of all, he was on time, reliable, orgranized, and great to work with. We received many compliments on the ceremony and cocktail hour music. Ed Horowitz was an incredible asset to our wedding ceremony. I had so many ideas, and he helped focus me and offered helpful feedback from his many years of experience. Yet, he was also totally open to my ideas even he had not seen it done before. He learned how to play a blues song on the acoustic guitar for our ceremony, listened when I told him I only wanted a mandolin and guitar (not violin), AND, when I told him I wanted my cousin to sing the seven blessings during our ceremony but had no idea what melody would be appropriate, HE WROTE SOMETHING COMPLETELY ORIGINAL. Using the Internet, he sent the instrumental songs to my cousin, who could practice them before the wedding. He cared about making our ceremony special, unique and an expression of my husband and I. We were happy with Mr. Horowitz in every respect. He originally proposed his own notion of how to provide the music according to his sensibilities but was most compliant in providing the music according to our wishes. Mr. Horowitz arrived early and conducted himself in a highly professional, gentlemanly manner - not at all obtrusive, and understanding of all the other pressures that came to bear just prior to the wedding. He was respectful of our clergyman and made certain that his performance was in concert with the tenor set. He played both the violin and mandolin wonderfully. Our guests commented on how tasteful and entertaining he was. We felt he only enhanced the beauty of the ceremony and would recommend him highly, without reservation.

Ed was fantastic. He kept in constant communication and sent me a detailed itinerary a week before the wedding. He even worked some personal song selections into our ceremony. He had great suggestions and was willing to play some contemporary music as well as the traditional songs.
