Grand Salon Reception Hall

I had my wedding at Killian Palms CC Gazebo and reception at the Grand Salon Reception Hall.I don't know what all the fuss is about...I had a beautiful wedding and reception at both locations. The price is great if you are a bride who does not want a lot of work to do. I am just not a very creative person so GS made it easy by offering a selection and letting me choose. Yes, the cake was orginally vanilla rum but with a small price of 60$ we were able to change it to red velvet and cream cheese icing and it was wonderful. The event coordinator was very helpful-she responsded to all of my phone calls and emails and was very welcoming everytime we stopped by with questions. The DJ provided was great! I had not issues and even provided him a tip...of course I did put together a cd for the songs I wanted played for the major events of the ceremony and reception (only because of horror stories I've read about online). The flowers were perfect and the place was beautiful. I had 140 guests and so far no one has complained about the bar. In fact, everyone loved the location and the service. I was very happy I went with their services. Beware though, if you are a bride who has a lot of creative ideas and would like a lot of flexibility then this is not the place for you because you will be held within the realms of your package. That was fine for me but it may not work for you.

This is my second baby shower at Killian Palms Country Club. I was so pleased the first time that I did not think twice about booking with them again. The service and the staff is amazing. The food was delicious, the music was rocking and the drinks at the bar were just right.. The place is spotless and always smells great. Elena the Event Coordinator was extremely helpful and courteous.

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS VENUE!!!I must disagree with the prior reviews; I found this place online because I live out of the United States and was a bit skeptical. However, from the moment I called to find out information till the day of my wedding I had great service. My wedding came out beautiful and staff as well as the vendors did a great job.

Great price for a great wedding. Everything the package came with was unbelievable! I would highly recommend them!

Killian Palms Country Club- Ciudamar Room (AKA: Grand Salon Reception Hall) Reception Site- C/D: I'm a bit torn about writting this review. The actual room was wonderful. It was exactly what I needed for a wedding of 60 people, BUT, they were the most unflexible people EVER!!! The original lady that was my contact was the rudest girl ever, but she left and we got someone else. The second lady was a lot nicer but was lost in the sauce. If it wasn't for Karla, I don't know what my wedding would of looked like. Cons: * They never told me they didn't allow bubbles at the site, so they made my DOC take them back from the guests. * They called me the day before the wedding to tell me they had no idea what colors I wanted my flowers, AFTER I told them that I was DIY my flowers and I needed a credit back for what I was not going to use. * They charged open bar for ALL my guests including the ones under the age of 21 and those under the age of 15! After I told them it wasn't fair, they aren't drinking why am I being charged for them, EVEN after I paid extra to upgrade the bar! * The food they served was NOT what I tasted. They served the wrong food * My family, at the first table, got served LAST, so their food was already cold. By the time they got served, people were already up and dancing!If you are going to use this site, please, please, please, make sure you know what you are signing up for. All these issues have been brought up with the site, but with no resolution!

I was going to use the Grand Salon at Killian however, the person who took care of use was very rude not professional at all and her personal phone was ringing off the hook. She totally ignored us and spent 10 in front of us playing with her ring. Never asked us if we wanted a proposal and was not accommodating at all. It is sad because if it was not for her bad attitude, lack of knowledge and little sense of selling skills we would have done our wedding there... May be it was for the best. When things start out bad the end worse.

Killian Palms Country Club - Grand Salon Ballroom - BEWARE! WHAT YOU ORDER IS NOT WHAT YOU GET!!! To begin, the food we were served is not what we ordered and when we told them, they tried to tell us it was. I now know of two other people this happened to! When meeting with them, I asked to take a proposal home to go over it and they would not allow it. I had to sign the contract first and pay the deposit before they would give me the contract. The package included a fondant cake, and we wanted to do buttercream, but they would not give us a credit. Also, the package price only includes the vanilla rum cake flavor. Everything else is extra! We did not use their DJ and from reading other reviews, I'm glad we didn't. Our DJ is what saved the day and made the day memorable! There were only 2 bartenders (1 bar) for 250 people, which made for a long line. There is not a reduced price for children or vendors (even though they don't drink alcohol). The package price is really not a bargain when you consider what is included. The flowers are minimal, and by the time I spruced them up, I really didn't save anything. The day before the wedding, the florist called and told me the flowers I had chosen were not included in my package. After arguing back and forth, Killian agreed that I was "grandfathered" in, that they changed what is included in the package price after I signed my contract. This is after I paid extra to do upgrades! If you don't use the photographer or DJ in the package, the credit they give you is a joke! ($100 for DJ and $600 for photographer/videographer) It's really a shame, because the place is beautiful, nicely decorated and convenient, but the service, professionalism and attitude ruin it! I WOULD NOT recommend this place to anyone - you're better off doing it in your backyard.
